As an artist, educator, and historian, art can be used to help bridge the gap between communities that share different cultures. Being able to uplift voices pushed down by oppression is deeply rooted in my beliefs. My education and practice have helped me better understand myself and others through experience and inclusion. Art can help promote ideas of justice, equality, and diversity through our shared human experiences.
